What They Said: A great and historically important scheme in Greenwich for the Royal Museums. The scheme consists of providing a new Collections and Conservation Centre at Kidbrooke which will bring the Museum’s conservation studios, photographic studio and collection storage together for more efficient working and improved collections care.

The centre will provide a ‘one-stop-shop’ for the majority of the museum’s 3-D collections and those 2-D collections that cannot be accommodated on the main Greenwich site. It will provide storage facilities and, through the learning centre, improved access to collections for staff, visitors, researchers and learners of all kinds. It will be a cultural asset for communities in Kidbrooke.
The scheme is a new build of just under 5,000m2 with a value of c£11m and is being procured through the Scape framework with Willmott Dixon acting as Main Contractor.
