Guaranteed Asphalt's plant was created in 1984. Quality control was the main aim in the manufacturing process and the BS kitemark status was achieved within only 6 months of inception.
Demand was high from the start and the company became known throughout the industry as a competitive and innovative brand, developing new means of delivering asphalt "hot and ready to lay" in large quantities by means of newly designed and built hot charge machines: 20-tonne capacity road vehicles with 100-foot crane capability, giving customers an entirely new timeframe with which to complete their schedules and compete at the highest level.
GA Corby was up and running. And running fast.
It soon became apparent that the original menu of roofing, paving and tanking mixes were restricting industry growth. Guaranteed Asphalt worked with leading companies throughout the construction industry to develop highly progressive mixes to complement newly designed technical specifications.
This has been particularly successful in bridgedeck designs, marine work and super-structure coatings. It is quite possible that without these innvoations, the mastic asphalt industry may have been left behind in some areas.
As well as constant innovation, attention to quality has been paramount to our operation. Fully computerised and quality checked, the manufacturing plant at Corby has attained a reputation as one of the most consistent mastic asphalt producers in the world today.
But this hasn't just started, Guaranteed Asphalt achieved the BS 5750 quality certification, the holy grail of quality assurance, back in 1989 and has upheld this status ever since: no mean task considering BS5750 is applied to the whole operation including order processing, delivery and manufacture.
